Sunken Concrete - A Safety Hazard
In 2022, The McPherson Public Library discovered that the library had developed severe foundation issues and that the concrete floor had shifted and sunken to the point where it had become a safety hazard. On the recommendation of a third party foundation expert, the library’s board of directors hired Midwest Foam Works to lift and stabilize approximately 5,500 sq ft of interior concrete floors. The project was done in phases to allow community volunteers to move books between work zones and the library was reopened for business in weeks instead of months.
